FAQs

  • Can my dog be off-leash in the studio?

Yes — it’s a private, secure space. As the session takes place in my home studio it is important to note that there is a dog and a cat living there, but they will be hidden away during out studio session. Your dog may notice their smells, and this is normal, we have time booked in to let them get used to the environment.

  • Can I be in the photos?

At this time, sessions are dog-only, though with shy and timid dogs we acknowledge that sometimes having the comfort of their human there makes all the difference. We’ll work with you and your dog for a calm experience.

  • Do you photograph reactive or shy dogs?

Absolutely. The studio is quiet, controlled, and calm. We will work with you and your dog. For shy and timid dogs we would suggest booking no more than the Mini session to not overwhelm them.

  • What if my dog is anxious?

I work slowly, use confidence-building posing, and go at your dog’s pace. If it takes us more time than anticipated to get the right shots, then so be it. We don’t want this to be a traumatic experience for your dog. For very anxious dogs it may be better to stick with the mini session to limit their anxiety.

  • Do you offer treat-catching shots?

Not yet — but many dogs give fantastic expressions without treats in motion. With time we may explore these types of portraits, but we’re not there yet.

  • Can you photograph large dogs?

Unfortunately at this time, due to the small studio space, we cannot photograph large dogs due to space constraints. We do hope to expand our offering in the future.
